Situated in a private location only 24 miles north of Aberdeen, Loch Insch Fishery is very accessible for all types of anglers. Along with its own direct access to the A96 Aberdeen - Inverness trunk road, and ease of use around the fishing lochs for both able and disabled anglers, it has proved very popular since its creation in 1994.

Darcy Lodge
A96 Aberdeen - Inverness trunk road

The Fishery comprises of four fishing lochs, a bait pond, seven rearing ponds, the main fishing lodge and an exclusive six pitch caravan site. The main fishing lodge extends to 1,300 sq.ft and has recently been enlarged and provides an enclosed sitting area which overlooks the lochs. Within this fishing lodge complex is housed the kitchen, cafe, secure tackle shop, reception, weighing in area, storage and toilets.

The fishing at this complex provides bank angling mainly for rainbow trout, but there are blue and brown trout also available to catch. The lochs are regularly stocked with fish ranging from 2lb to 20lb.

The perfectly sized caravan site is discreetly located overlooking Loch Kelloch. This grass site has six tarred pitches with electricity hook-up, water and disposal facilities. They can also have use of the toilets in the main fishing lodge if required. At this time the site enjoys being a certified location for Caravan Club members only.

The surrounding area of the fishing complex has been thoughtfully landscaped by the owner and indeed the work has been commended by Aberdeenshire Council in their annual award scheme.

.A four bedroom bungalow, Darcy Lodge, is included in this site, and is located adjacent to the lochs and looks towards the spectacular hill range of Bennachie.

 

There is also the opportunity of purchasing a total of 78 acres of arable land, which adjoins the fishery. Shown in the brochure as lots 2 and 3.
